6 MONTHS!!!

Today I am officially 6 months / 24 weeks. I cannot believe how time flies... I love that I now finally look like I am "pregnant". This week I have a Dr. appt. then the day after Christmas I will get another ultrasound, fingers crossed and lots of prayers that Baby Bateman is still as healthy as can be. :) Other things going on in our lives right now... We are finally buying a house and should be closing this week... YAH!! Also, I am selling my truck to getting something bigger. We need a more baby friendly vehicle and one with more room.... So much going on, but it is all GREAT! :)

Yesterday was Baby to Be's 1st trip to Disneyland. :) Even though we were not able to go on many rides, we had a blast!! We were lucky to be able to take cousin Nathan (to be ) with us so Alan had a ride partner. It's a Small World was the Baby to Be's first ride... :)

We just had our 3rd ultrasound this past week and things are still looking good (Thank God!). It was so cool to see the babies eyes and mouth open and close. I swear baby bateman's profile looks just like daddy, totally cute! 27 more days till I get to find out if it's a BOY or a GIRL, I can't wait!! :)

We're half way there......

Well, Baby Bateman was off and traveling again this past weekend. So far the munchkin has been to Colorado, Texas, Hawaii and now OHIO... Go Buckeyes! This trip was a very special one as it was a reunion with the OSU Volleyball team and a retirement party for my coach, Jim Stone. I have not seen most, if not all of my friends/teammates from OSU in more then 10 years!!! Way to long... :? The weekend was GREAT!! and I cannot wait to keep in touch with everyone and let them know how things are going with the little Bateman to be.... :)

IT'S A...???....???...

Well, this last week was kind of a rough one... Since I am over 35 I decided to do the AFP blood test. I felt fully confident that everything would be ok, that is why when I got the phone call that it was possibly not, I was in SHOCK!! They told me that my HcG level was high, which means a possibility of Downs Syndrome. I immediately scheduled an appointment for a Level II Ultrasound to see if they could find anything wrong. After taking about 70 pictures of Baby Bateman, the Dr. at UCSD said that our baby looked good but still offered to us the amnio. This is when the debating began... I never wanted to get an amnio, but after talking with a Genetic Counselor and the UCSD Dr. we considered it even though I was never really comfortable with it. As days past and after a lot of discussion and mostly Prayer, Alan & I decided not to do it. After seeing the pictures of our perfectly beautiful baby, we felt there was no solid reason for further testing. We feel confident that our baby is healthy and most importantly believe Baby Bateman is in God's hands......

Oh ya, Alan got to find out the sex of the baby. I am so curious to know, but will wait patiently till Christmas for the exciting news. :)

1st Desert Trip - Ocotillo Wells

The weekend after Halloween we headed out to Ocotillo for our 1st desert trip of the season. It was kind of weird to be out there and not be able to ride. I think this is the first time in 6 years that I would not be going on any motos with the guys. Surprisingly, it was not too bad and actually a whole lot less stressful. I did bring my mini out and did do a lap around camp, but it wasn't too comfortable. I will just wait till April to ride again which is fine, because this munchkin is so worth it.

4 Months and counting...

Yesterday I had my 2nd Baby doctor appointment and it went well. We got to listen to Baby Bateman's heartbeat again and the doctor was impressed at how loud and strong it was for 16 weeks. That was good to hear, as I was getting worried that since my belly hasn't grown much (still looks like I just ate too much) that there might be a problem. I know now that I said that, I will probably balloon out. But as long as the baby is healthy, that is all that matters. :)

Baby Bateman is on the way.....

September 18th, 2007

I just had my first "official" Doctor appointment and so far everything looks good for the arrival of Baby Bateman. At this point I am 11 weeks 2 days with an estimated due date of April 9th, 2008, 1 day after daddy Alan's birthday. Alan and I are both very excited and blessed that Baby Bateman is coming soon. It is something that I have been wanting for a long time and that Alan has thankfully embraced. I know he will be an awesome daddy and with the support of both of our families there is only great things to come. :)
